Clean speech recordings
The speech recordings are done in a car standing still only. The car should be parked in a quiet environment, with for instance no cars passing by. To achieve this, the car can be parked in a quiet garage. All windows and the roof should be closed, and the radio and all air conditioning, fans, etc. must be turned off. The car engine must be turned off as well. If the car is parked outside, no speech recordings should be done during any noisy weather condition, e.g. while it is raining.
Participants shall sit in the driver’s seat wearing a close-talk headset microphone. The seat shall be adjusted to a comfortable operating position for the participant. Far-talk microphones shall be placed as defined under Recording Specifics and Signal Quality. All far-talk microphones must remain the in the exact same position throughout the entire collection.
