senza contesto è difficile dare una traduzione precisa. Di sicuro il termine è stato scelto anche per fare rima con farce - ma come tradurlo al meglio in italiano dipende molto dal resto!

Sono andata a cercare la canzone. Ho l'impressione quasi che l'io della canzone (narrante) stia davanti allo specchio e si veda sdoppiato "you and the undercover man" (che e' il titolo della canzone) l'uomo nascosto, sotto mentite spoglie.
Ma e' solo un'ipotesi: la canzone e' molto sibillina e non conosco tutto il contesto della produzione dell'autore per cui non ho idea dei suoi temi generali e del suo lessico.
