You want to get the system positively pressurized as soon as possible. That is what is meant by breaking the vacuum.

Magnet Rundown Unit (MRU) Notification:
We confirmed the Vacuum break tool was on site. This tool is a secondary means to quench the magnet and must remain on site at all times.

In cases of serious malfunction or emergency the MRI scanner can be quenched, which releases all of the liquid helium.

Emergency Shut Down
Does the scanner have an emergency "stop" button?
MRI scanner, emergency rundown, quench
Yes. In fact most facilities have two types of "Emergency Stop" buttons with different actions.
Emergency Magnet Rundown Unit: This initiates a controlled quench and turns off the magnetic field. It is typically a big red button located on the wall of the magnet room near the door. It may be labelled "Magnet Stop" or "Emergency Run Down". This button should only be used in a life-threatening emergency, such as a patient pinned in the scanner by a metal object or a fire in the magnet gantry.
Initiating an emergency quench is a serious proposition, placing the scanner out of service for a week or more, potentially damaging the magnet, and costing $30,000 or more to replace the lost liquid helium.

przerywacz próżni
z sieci wynika, ze to inaczej Vacuum breaker.
Discussion
1) A vacuum break is a device that makes sure that NO vacuum develops. The same with przerywacz próżni.
2) The superconducting magnets in an MRI unit are submerged in liquid helium. The liquid helium is inside a dewar. The dewar is surrounded by vacuum for extra insulation. It the vacuum is broken (i.e., room-temperature air is introduced and atmospheric pressure is introduced into the evacuuated space), the liquid helium will start boiling off, often explosively. The magnets will go from superconducting (no resistance) to normal (metallic resistance), which will generate joule heating and an even more rapid boil off. The superconducting windings will turn into normal windings and the magnetic field will go down. The magnet is said to have been quenched since the magnetic field is reduced.
3) From my readings, MRI magnets are not quenched by breaking vacuum (pressuring the vessel).
