Thank you, Giusi,. Bildungsroman is not so used today as it used to be, maybe because when they starting talking about coming-of-age films in America, this term was then transferred to literature

Anche le proposte precedenti vanno tutte bene. Se si tratta di un articolo specialistico, la mia opinione è usare l'espressione tedesca "Bildungsroman"
