Italiano term

atto di accertamento

Da Italiano a Inglese Legale/Brevetti Legale (generale)
This is a kind of CONSOB document in which a conclusion is reached concerning a subject's wrongdoing, and charges are filed against this subject.

This term is already in the glossary as "investigation," which kinda fits, but, given that CONSOB also talks about a "relazione istruttoria," I thought it might be worthwhile to try to make a distinction.

Also the notion of accertamento is important. For the purposes of how much time CONSOB has to bring charges and impose penalties against someone, the moment of determination of the wrongdoing itself is important, because it is from that moment that the period begins; depending on the crime, it can be anywhere from 60 to 360 days.

Any input would be great. Thanks!

Could be this. In any case, CONSOB has an English version of their site which could help you.
