Remote Simultaneous Interpretation

Simultaneous interpreting, priced in the open

Run conferences, town halls and webinars in as many languages as you need. Attendees pick their own audio channel and hear the speaker in real time. You pay interpreter minutes, one $30 platform fee, and $2 per person who actually joins — that is the whole price list.

What a simultaneous event actually costs

Three lines on the invoice. Nothing else, and nothing hidden until afterwards.

Interpreter minutes

Their rate × session length

Each interpreter on your event sets their own per-minute rate, and you see it before you book. Two languages means two channels; a long day means a team of two per channel. You only ever pay for interpreters you actually selected.

Platform fee

$30 flat

One charge per event, regardless of how many languages you run or how long it lasts. It covers the multi-channel audio routing, the interpreter booths, the moderator console and the attendee join links.

Audience

$2 per attendee

Charged once for each person who actually joins and listens — not per language, not per hour, not per registration. Register 500 and have 180 turn up, and you pay for 180.

And what you are never billed for:

  • No monthly subscription or seat licence
  • No per-language platform surcharge
  • No setup, onboarding or technician fee
  • No minimum audience size
  • No charge for registrants who never join
  • No hardware, no app install for attendees

Set the shape of your session and watch the bill build itself. The maths below is the same formula we invoice on.

How long is the session?

Interpreters are billed per minute of the session they cover.

How many interpreted language channels?

One channel per target language. Audience members pick their channel in the player.

Solo interpreter or a team of two?

Simultaneous is cognitively intense. Past 60 minutes of continuous work, the professional standard is two interpreters per language rotating every 20–30 minutes.

How many people will listen?

Counted once per audience member who actually joins — not per language, not per minute.

Every listener picks their own audio track

One event, one link. Each attendee opens the same room and chooses which audio they hear — the floor, or any of the interpreted language channels. Switching is instant and private: nobody else in the room knows or cares which track you are on, and you can move between them as often as you like mid-session.

  • Pick a channel, hear only that interpreter

Select a language and the room mutes every other voice for you, leaving just that channel's interpreter.

  • Keep the speaker underneath with floor balance

Slide the original speaker back in behind the interpretation, at whatever level you want. Useful for bilingual attendees who want to hear tone, names and numbers from the source.

  • Interpreters hear the floor, never each other

Each interpreter monitors the original speaker and broadcasts to their own channel, so relay teams never bleed into one another's audio.

  • Raise a hand to take the floor

Attendees can request to speak. The moderator promotes them, they ask their question, and every channel interprets it in real time.

Not just for big conferences

Simultaneous works for a single language too

Most simultaneous sessions are not six-language summits. They are one language, one interpreter, and a room that simply cannot afford to run at half speed — a training day, a parent evening, a works council, a webinar for one community.

Book it exactly the same way: choose simultaneous, pick one target language, pick your interpreter. Attendees still get a channel to switch to, and the speaker still never has to stop.

  • Consecutive turns a 60-minute agenda into 120. Simultaneous keeps it at 60.
  • One interpreter comfortably covers up to about an hour of continuous simultaneous work.
  • The same $30 platform fee and $2 per listener apply — so short single-language sessions carry more overhead per minute than a full conference does.

What you get in the room

Interpreter booths, listener channels and moderator controls — in a browser tab, with nothing to install on either side.

One channel per language

Add as many target languages as your event needs. Each gets its own interpreter booth and its own audio channel, and attendees pick theirs from a list when they join.

Floor-balance mixing

Listeners can keep the original speaker playing quietly underneath the interpretation at any level they choose, instead of losing the source audio entirely.

Low-latency live audio

Interpreters work over the speaker in real time rather than waiting for pauses, so your agenda runs at its natural length instead of doubling.

Raise hand and take the floor

Attendees request the mic, the moderator promotes them, and their question is interpreted into every channel live.

Moderator floor control

Invite named floor speakers by email ahead of time and manage who holds the mic during the session from the host console.

Join by link, nothing to install

Attendees open one browser link — no accounts, no downloads, no dial-in codes, on desktop or phone.

Where simultaneous earns its keep

The sessions where stopping for consecutive interpretation is simply not an option.

International conferences

Run a multilingual programme where every delegate follows the main stage in their own language, and the schedule still finishes on time.

  • UN-style channel per language
  • Hundreds of concurrent listeners
  • Relay teams that rotate cleanly
Corporate town halls

Brief a global workforce once instead of running the same all-hands three times in three regions, with live Q&A interpreted both ways.

  • One session for every region
  • Live interpreted Q&A
  • Joins from a browser link
Public meetings and community events

Meet language-access obligations for school boards, city councils and public consultations without stopping the meeting for consecutive interpretation.

  • Language access without delay
  • Pay only for who attends
  • Works on a phone
