Abstract
Simin Daneshvar is an Iranian famous novelist and translator. 'Savushun', (pronounced sa-voo-shoon) is Simin Daneshvar's most successful work, was published in 1969. The aim of this article is to discuss English translation of Savushun from Persian to English by Roxane Zand; also the focus is on some of the idiomatic expressions and cultural concepts encountered in the original and how they were found in the English translation. The paper is concluded that the translator didn't find any exact equivalence in target language, so there are some deletions or changes in the translation to adapt them with target language.
