Source text - English Since the first procedure performed in 1977 PICA has become an established interventional technique and PTCA balloon catheters have become indispensable basic tools in all interventional catheterisation units world wide.
The XXXX PTCA catheter is a further development of the XXXX PTCA catheter which was first approved in XXXX and had a successful market history with a low complaint rate (0.037%). The procedural safety and performance of the XXXX was demonstrated in a multicenter product evaluation. The intended use, the indications and the contraindications of the XXXX are the same as those of the reference device. In addition, the design features are equivalent to those of the reference device. The risk analysis of the XXXX revealed no major hazards in addition to those already identified for XXXX. In particular, specific risks associated with the kissing balloon procedure were addressed and reduced to acceptable levels. Comparative bench testing demonstrated the improved performance characteristics of the XXXX. It is therefore justified to expect that the XXXX PICA catheter will be at least equivalent to the marketed reference device during clinical use.
In conclusion, the evidence presented in this report provides reasonable assurance on the safety and performance of the XXXX PICA catheter.
Translation - Spanish Desde el primer procedimiento realizado en 1977, PICA se ha vuelto una técnica intervencionista establecida y los catéteres balón de ACTP se han vuelto herramientas básicas indispensables en todas las unidades de cateterismo intervencionista a nivel mundial.
El catéter de ACTP XXXX es un desarrollo más avanzado del catéter ACTP XXXX que fue aprobado en un principio en XXXX y tiene una historia exitosa en el mercado con una baja tasa de quejas (0.037%). La seguridad y desempeño del procedimiento de XXXX se ha demostrado en una evaluación multicéntrica del producto. Translation - English Service-oriented architecture
A self-contained, stateless function that accepts a call and returns a response (or several calls and responses) through a well defined interface. Services can also execute discreet work units, for example, editing and processing a transaction. Services do not depend on other process or function states. Specific technology used to provide service is not part of this definition. There are asynchronous services in which a request of a service creates, for example, a file, and in a second request that file is gathered.
Contrary to object-oriented architectures, SOAs consist on application services feebly connected and highly interoperable. To communicate with each other, these services are based on a formal definition independent of the underlying platform and the programming language (i.e. WSDL ). The interface definition encloses (hides) the particularities of an implementation, which makes it independent from the manufacturer, from the programming language or from the development technology (like Java or .Net Framework). The aim of this architecture is to make developed software components highly reusable, because the interface is defined following a standard; so, a C# service could be used by a Java application. In this sense, some authors define SOA as a super-abstract.

In 2009, I was hired as and English to Spanish on-site Jr. Translator in a Mexican company that merchandised German and French medical devices. After that, I started my official career as a full-time freelance translator on 2010 which has been the best decision I made as an entrepreneur.
I really enjoy learning about various subjects ranging from general topics to very technical ones. I have always been an extremely good learner, which makes me more passionate towards translating as it allows me to have a lifestyle based fully on acquiring knowledge; reason for which I see myself as a knowledge trader specialized in the art of communication. Even though I like learning about several topics, I am specialized in translating medical, biochemical and informatics topics, as well as more general topics like academic documents, general articles and subtitling.
