Have worked with German genealogical documents in German script since 1975, and these became my first translation specialty when I began freelancing in 1983. Earned ATA-certification in German-English in 1984, ATA certification grader 1993–2007. Publications include translations of two books on classical music (Amadeus Press) and major parts of two books on sociopolitical themes (Bertelsmann Foundation), as well as English articles in the ATA Chronicle, CATI Quarterly (5 years as editor), APG Quarterly, and several magazines. NOTE: Per-word rates posted do not apply to genealogy and German script. These jobs are billed by the hour and sometimes calculate out to less than the stated minimum per word.
