German to English: Auswirkungen des Brexits auf das UK und auf Deutschland General field: Bus/Financial Detailed field: Economics
Source text - German Am 23.
Translation - English On 23 June 2016 the people of the United Kingdom (UK) voted for their country to withdraw from European Union (EU). Brexit would take place in around 2 years’ time but in recent months it has become a burning issue. This is hardly surprising. Because for the first time it means a backwards step towards European integration. Furthermore, both the withdrawal negotiations, which will be discussed in more detail below, as well as the forthcoming negotiations on the future economic relationship between the UK and the EU present both sides with major challenges. This is as true at the political and negotiating levels as for those involved at the economic level.
However, there is still a great deal of uncertainty about how hard a Brexit will actually transpire. The political announcements from the British Government until now leave many questions unanswered. Against this background this paper presents a systematic discussion of what kind of bilateral economic relationship is likely to emerge and what impact Brexit may have on the UK and Germany.

Hi! My name is Caroline Cronin. I am a MA qualified German to English translation. I live in Bath in the UK with my family.
I have been translating from French and German into English since 1987 after my first degree in European Studies (French and German) from Bath University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Foreign Languages for Business.
I have used my languages within jobs in a language consultancy, an international drinks company and a large American office furniture company.
While taking a career break to bring up my family, I have also translated in a freelance capacity in many different fields as well as carrying out over 40,000 words of pro bono translation.
I recently gained an MA in Translation, an ambition I have always wanted to achieve.
Since then I have consistently been translating professionally in a wide variety of areas, mainly business, technical and communications networks.
I mainly translation from German to English but also have plenty of experience and expertise in French to English translation.
I would be very happy to help you with any of your translation needs!
