Source text - English However, while we wait for the selling pressure to dissipate, we believe there are more productive uses of the Fund’s capital. We therefore used the proceeds from our technology sales to establish an allocation to the energy sector and to increase the Fund’s holdings in European equities.
We last allocated to energy stocks within the Fund in 2009 and it has generally been a torrid time for the sector over the intervening years as companies faced deteriorating returns on capital employed as costs inflated and capital expenditure swelled.
