Source text - English The upper articulation is made with three main parts, all sustaining rotation, pitch, roll movements of the lower articulation. The upper articulation adopted to connect the P-car and the RA-car allows to compensate large pitch movements and absorbs variations during pitch movements.
The upper articulation is completed by means of horizontal shock absorbers which connect each car to the next one and consists of a pair of angled sealed hydraulic dampers. This also avoid oscillations of the cars when entering and exiting curves.
The RA-car and he RB-car are suspended, not supported by a bogie, therefore they are not linked to the rail track and tend to oscillate.
The carbody oscillates respect to the bogies during the ride because of the suspension system which is part of the bogies and smooth vibrations, shocks, horizontal accelerations. These oscillations make the carbody to occupy a space around the nominal position (static envelope) on the track. The static envelope along the curve depends on the length of each carbody section and the flexibility of the articulation. Lateral oscillations added onto the static envelope require to determine potential dynamic envelope. The dynamic impact of total carbody architecture contributes to determine the speed limits when affording curves.
