Translation - English GENERAL NARRATIVE APPLIED SCIENCE & VISUAL ART PROGRAM 4TH QUARTER REPORT 2017 (OCTOBER – DECEMBER)
In the 4th quarter, there were a total of 144 students participating in the Applied Science and Visual Art program. Level 1 consists of 49 students, Level 2 with 49 students, and Level 3 with 21 students and 25 students in Science Club. The Science and Visual Art program included 44 new students and 100 former students for the October-December period representing 63% of the total number of students from July to September. Approximately 37% of students no longer attend the activities due to changes in school schedules clashing with the Red Nose schedule. Other students moved to communities far away from Red Nose Foundation study center.
The activities for this period began in the first week of October and ended in the second week of December. To start, the Applied Science and Visual Art program in cooperation with the psychosocial department conducted Respect Week which included activities encouraging students to learn self-respect, respect for others, and the environment. In this period, the students had to take the baseline test (written test, art test, and experiment test). Baseline tests are required as preliminary data to measure student’s abilities before they begin the program. In November, 20 students were invited to the 10th Anniversary of Pacific Place Mall to paint Kooka dolls. In December, Red Nose was invited to an Education Fair event at the Australian International School (AIS) Jakarta to share the program and deliver workshops.
