Always on Target, always on Time

Helping my clients to be linguistically competent, confident and culturally appropriate. As a native speaker of both German and U.S. English, I am at home with nuance, register and tone, and I ask myself: If I were the client, what would I hope for from a translator? What will put my client in the most advantageous position? Precision in translation is obviously a must, but what will most accurately reflect the meaning of the original text? What is its purpose and how do I most successfully convey it in the target language? I will not accept an assignment unless I believe I can deliver truly good work, and I will not accept an assignment unless I can deliver on time.

You will find cheaper translators than me. However, I aim for excellence and I believe my work will serve you well. If you represent an agency, I think my work will save you money in the later stages of the process. 

I work almost exclusively with historic and handwritten German texts, including genealogical documents. As availability permits, I also translate literary texts.
