Die Sommerrodelbahn der Firma XY besteht aus einem Alu- Rundrohr mit aufgeschweißtem Führungsprofil, ca. 30 cm über dem Boden montiert.
Sie ist abgestützt durch eine feuerverzinkte Stahlkonstruktion und mittels Erdnägel im Erdreich verankert.
Der Bahnverlauf ist dem Gelände angepasst und bietet Kurven mit Schräglage!
Bei der Verlegung der Schienen wird ein Mindestgefälle von 5 % benötigt, da die Rodel sonst nicht in Bewegung gesetzt werden kann. Der Sicherheitsabstand zu Bäumen, Sträuchern, Böschungen, Fahrbahnrand und anderen Hindernissen beträgt mindestens 1,5m, außer bei Über- und Unterführungen, hier kann der Abstand geringer sein.
Die Rodel besteht aus einer Aluminiumkonstruktion mit Kunststoffschale aus Polyethylen. Mittels Steuerhebel kann der Benutzer der Rodel die Geschwindigkeit selbst regeln, ohne Bedienung des Steuerhebels ist die Rodel durch eine Federspeicherbremse eingebremst. Für das Lösen der Bremse ist ein Kraftaufwand von ca. 30 N Druck auf den Steuerhebel erforderlich.
Die Rodel ist gegen das Abheben von der Schiene mehrfach gesichert.
Eine Radialbremse regelt die Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 10 m/sek, bzw. die Drehzahl der Laufrollen.
