Bio
Freelance translator with 4 years’ experience, specialising in medicine and pharmaceuticals.
My experience translating for the medical and pharmaceutical industries totals over 200,000 words, including medical records and prescriptions; clinical trials documentation for pharmaceutical products and medical devices, including study protocols, patient information leaflets and informed consent forms; drug registration documentation including summaries of product characteristics. I have approximately 350,000 words’ experience in legal translation, including contracts; court documents including property law, major and small claims, divorce, custody and inheritance cases; identity documents and personal certificates; sworn translations. I also have experience translating a wide range of other subjects and text types, including: insurance policies and compensation criteria, in particular for health insurance; financial texts such as auditors’ reports; technical and industrial texts such as use and maintenance manuals, product specifications, tender documents and contracts for the shipping and and construction industries among others; scientific and academic texts including research articles, essays and patents; texts concerning regional development, civil rights and immigration.
