I have been working as a full-time freelance translator from Japanese to English since 2007, although I worked part-time before that. I have been working with Japanese since I graduated with a Japanese degree from the University of Sheffield in 1989.

5 years part-time freelance translator for specialist non-ferrous metals magazine.
8 years import / export / trading experience at Caroline International, a UK music exporter and distributor.
4 years resident in Japan, including 2 years working for a music importer / exporter in Osaka.
