What reasons for no preview being shown for a docx document?

What are possible reasons for no preview being shown for a docx document?
"Enable Preview for Translations" is activated.

(Adding information to your Proz.com profile about who you are would not harm at all. Many people here -- myself included -- prefer to know who we are helping!)

Just my two cents: if you are working on an online project for a customer, it is very possible that the customer has not added the documents for a view at project creation time. Also, if the project contains XLIFF files from another tool (e.g. SDLXLIFF files originally coming from Studio), they would not have a preview.

Onyl one document has no preview Oct 25, 2017

I am working offline. The project has five Docx files, strangely, only the first DOCX file does not offer any preview.

This is a common issue and Kilgray itself states in the memoQ help pages that sometimes and for no obvious reasons (my own words) creating preview may fail. You may refer to the relevant pages n the help menu.

Beyond a certain "weight"... Oct 25, 2017

Seems that there is no preview (html) beyond a given document weight, no matter the format for the document.

What I have been unable to know so far is, which is the "weight" (in megas) beyond which no preview is available.

This may be the reason; this document was 16 MB (because of graphics, but not really very large nowadays) rather than approx 3 MB for the other documents.
