Hi there, I am hoping that anyone here can shed some light on the following problem I am having: I have just had to reboot my computer as it totally froze and after restarting it I am now unable to open my MemoQ 4.0 Standard Version. See more Hi there, I am hoping that anyone here can shed some light on the following problem I am having: I have just had to reboot my computer as it totally froze and after restarting it I am now unable to open my MemoQ 4.0 Standard Version. I get the following error message: memoQ Warning: Unable to load global application data. General error. TYPE: System.ApplicationException MESSAGE: The languages could not be loaded! SOURCE: MemoQ.Common CALL STACK: at MemoQ.Common.Application.LangInfo.LoadFrom(String filePath) at MemoQ.Application.MemoQApp.LoadGlobalSettings() When I click ok the following message pops up; Language code map configuration file not found. General error. TYPE: System.ApplicationException MESSAGE: Language code map cnfiguration file not found. SOURCE: MemoQ.Common CALL STACK: at MemoQ.Common.LanguageCodeMapper..cctor() As I have only purchased the Standard version I am not eligible for support from Kilgray so I am really hoping that I find someone here who can help me... Wishing I had bought the Pro version as I am experiencing lots of problems with this tool and it's difficult to work technical issues out when you haven't got anywhere to turn to. Unlike other CAT tool manufacturers, who made us used to forgetting about support completely, Kilgray's support is very agile indeed. For any MemoQ issues, the first thing to do is to email them at [email protected]. | | | just run the installer | Mar 26, 2010 |
Hi Kathrin, An important file has been deleted on your system. This can happen if you have both memoQ 3.6 and 4.0 installed, and you uninstall 3.6. Simply running the 4.0 installer will fix this. Hi Gergely, thank you for your suggestion to re-install memoQ 4. I just tried to do so but get another error message that says: An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file: DeleteFile failed; code 5 Access is denied. Click retry to try again, Ignore to Skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation. I am at my wits end. Should I uninstall memoq4 and reinstall again? Surely that would ...
