Hi all, I would like to know if it is possible to be a certified medical/pharmaceutical translator. If so, what are the well known organizations, institutes, etc., that can give such certification? I appreciate your cooperation. | | | Marjolein Snippe Netherlands Local time: 10:05 Member (2012) English to Dutch + ... Separate certification | Aug 12, 2014 |
Hi Muhammad, I don't think there would be many certificates specifically for medical/pharmaceutical translation; rather, I think the approach would be to get a translation certificate (perhaps with a subsection such as technical/medical/scientific translation) and either specialise or obtain a degree or other certificate in medicine/pharmaceutical/life science. I've found nothing about certified medical translators nowhere (besides the normal medical translation courses around the world). Annavaneska1: to study Medicine and work as a translator doesn't mean that you are a certified medical translator. But thanks for the link.
