What is "The Daily"?
We'll be using "The Daily" during this critical period to bring you updates each day on the initiatives we are implementing at ProZ.com to support the community.

These will involve both the adaptation of existing practices and complete innovations, across the many features and services we offer.
Rather than bombarding you with posts and emails, we've decided to gather the information here in one update, which you can refer to each day to keep abreast of events.

Free video offer
We've decided to make our video library free – starting April 1st 2020 for 60 days – for all registered site users with a complete ProZ.com profile. That means you need to fill out 100% of the required content! Ideally, you'd also fill out the About me, Key word, & Professional Objectives within the recommended content.
It won't cost you a thing and will enhance your chances of picking up work. So why not work on that while you wait?

Call for speakers
You'll have heard of the special ProZ.com event due to take place on April 7-9 from 14.00 to 20.00 GMT each day.
The theme is Empowering freelance translators & interpreters to achieve their business objectives & reach their full potential. We're looking for three types of content:1) content for brand new linguists 2) content for established professionals. 3) holistic health content or content on ways in which linguists can maintain their health and well being, during a time of unprecedented stress.
The call for speakers is described in detail in another post here in the COVID-19 Forum. So why not think about what you can share and step up to benefit and lead the community?

Virtual powwows
We are working fast to bring you virtual powwows, where you can hook up with your colleagues from home. Till now, powwows have always been face-to-face events in the same city, but think of the opportunities this opens up: powwows for people across the world in the same combination, or specialism, for example, and why not powwows for working mothers, tech-loving translators, etc? Watch this space for an announcement.

COVID-19 Forum on ProZ.com
This new forum is dedicated specifically to this health crisis. Here you can:
* discuss business issues that may arise during COVID-19
* share resources for language professionals.
* share or ask for glossaries or other useful resources
* invite colleagues to participate in COVID-19 projects and initiatives.
* engage in country-specific discussion
* just take a coffee-break and share pictures, jokes, games and other material to help cope with COVID-19 confinement.

Thanks for sharing this information, Andrew! Looks like they'll be lots to keep us busy/sane. Could I just confirm that the video library you're talking about is this one? http://videos.proz.com/
