Is it the code of CafeTran, or/and java's way in general?
I'm using MacBook Pro i5, 8GB. And CafeTran is the ONLY program which make it to use all resources it has. Constantly. The application work fine, but it always has to run cooling system at the highest rate. Quietness of Mac is one of the biggest advantage for me, and with Cafetran i'm loosing it.
Does anyone encountered this issue on Mac?

Sometimes it can also be sign of non optimal memory assignment for your resources, resulting in more processor load (you can track this with Activity Monitor utility).
How much RAM memory do you use in Edit > Options (Preferences) > Memory ?
If it's 1024, you can try doubling it. I think 2048 could be better on a 8 GB machine.

Install Java 9
Dec 6, 2017
Apart from the above-mentioned tips, please install Java 9 on your Mac. Then, download and install again the latest version of CafeTran Espresso. You should see less processor activity on your MacBook.

Hi Igor,
Is there an installer yet for Java 9? Can't seem to find it.

Yeah, I got that far, but the jre-9.0.1_windows-x64_bin.tar.gz file, when unzipped, just produces a bunch of folders:
And the file: jre-9.0.1_windows-x64_bin.exe does nothing when double-clicked.
What am I dong wrong here?

Wait a minute, the installer is just crap. It actually installed (as I can see it @ Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features). The installer just doesn't provide any feedback whatsoever that it is done.
