Report from  Sabine Winter
San Francisco’s first Powwow in celebration of International Translation Day was a lot of fun and a great success.

The nowadays Bay Area based translators from Germany, Poland, Russia, Japan, Mexico, and various U.S. cities enjoyed an evening with lively conversations about the translation business as well as non-translation related topics in the patio of Café International in front of the wallsize mural depicting the people of the world. An ideal setting for the International Translation Day Powwow!

Thanks to our photographing translators Gilma Pereda and Aya Suzuki, we also have several photos to remember this nice evening. We all had a good time getting to know each other, sharing experiences, exchanging stories and information, and are planning on having another Powwow again sometime in the near future.
