Description


ProZ.com is pleased to announce its online Spanish Course for Beginners

This course, aimed at beginning Spanish language learners, consists of ten (10) modules of 90 minutes each. Each unit can be tailored to the needs of the student.

The cost for the complete course (10 modules) is 300 USD can be paid for selecting the (Buy) option.

The training is provided on a one-to-one basis, using Skype, MSN or a standard telephone. Dates and times are agreed between the lecturer and the student. .


Introductory module



    ¿Empezamos? (Let’s start?)

  • Presentations and description of the lesson dynamic
  • Introduction to Spanish language (Spelling and Pronunciation: Letters and sounds).
  • Gender of nouns. (Masculine / Feminine).
  • Plural form of nouns and cardinal numbers (0 – 10).
  • Asking the meaning of a word.
  • Everyday courtesies and greetings (Formal and Informal Treatment) .
  • Talking about yourself: name, nationality, languages, jobs, address and telephone number 

  •  Duration: 90 minutes.

Second module



    ¿Y cómo es?(How is it?)

  • The house and furniture. (Elemental Vocabulary)
  • How to describe an object. (Forms and Sizes) Verb: SER
  • Asking and saying where objects are. Verb: ESTAR
  • Descriptions of people (physically and temper)
  • Making Comparisons. (This room is bigger than...)
  • Asking for the existence of something (Are there...?)
  • Cardinal numbers 10-30
  • Talking about where you live.

  • Duration: 90 mins

Third module



    ¿De quién es? (Whose is this?)

  • Saying what is yours and not. (Possessives Pronouns).
  • Personal objects and clothes.
  • Colors. (Concordance with Nouns)
  • Saying what you have and not. Verb TENER
  • Demonstratives: este / ese / aquel
  • Idiomatic Expressions with TENER...?)

  • Duration: 90 mins

Fourth module



    ¿Qué haces los viernes?(What do you do on Fridays?)

  • Talking about your everyday routine, family and close friends.
  • Parts of the Day
  • Days of the Week and Months.
  • Cardinal Numbers: 30-100
  • Something about leisure activities
  • Present tense. Verbs of frequent use
  • Reflexive verbs.

  • Duration: 90 mins

Fifth module



    ¿Qué vas a hacer mañana? (What are you going to do?)

  • How to talk about your future plans
  • How to express intentions
  • How to express obligations and needs (Now I have to…/ I need to….)
  • How not to buy- gracefully
  • Verbs that express emotions
  • Future tense (Periphrastic form)

  • Duration: 90 mins.

Sixth module



    ¿Tomamos un café?(Let’s have a coffe?)

  • How to order in a restaurant
  • The Menu: Fruits,Vegetables,Meals and Drinks.
  • Paying Bills
  • Question Form with Present Tense (Regular and Irregulars Verbs)
  • How to express what you need or want:(Can I have…?)
  • Cardinal Numbers: 100-1000
  • How to tell the time (Appointments with friends)
  • How to leave a message on the phone.
  • How to say you like or dislike something with ¿ Te gusta ?

  • Duration: 90 mins.

Seventh module



    ¡¡Rápido, un Taxi!
  • How to hail a taxi
  • Directions, Finding Places. Verbs: SABER vs. CONOCER
  • Imperative Tense I.
  • Ordinal Numbers and Abbreviations: c/ Av. / Dpto / No / P.
  • Public Places, Commercials and Transports
  • How to ask for information on the phone.
  • Te sientes mejor?(Do you feel better?)
  • Talking about health (Body parts)
  • Symptoms and Illnesses

  • Express pain (Me duele..)
  • Making an appointment with the doctor

  • Duration: 90 mins

Eighth module



    ¡Estoy viajando por Sudamerica! ( I’m traveling through Southamerica)

  • Traveling, Getting Around. r
  • Transportation and Services
  • Making Reservations
  • How to talk about things you are doing right now
  • Packing, Getting Ready to Go
  • Present Tense vs. Present Progressive
  • Talking about the weather (Months, Seasons and Dates)
  • Understand weather forecasts (Celsius and Fahrenheit)
  • Weather expressions
  • Other uses of HACE(related to time))

  • Duration: 90 mins

Ninth module



    ¡Vamos de compras! I (Let’s go shopping)

  • Asking Prices and Discounts
  • How to say you are just looking
  • Meals, Fruits and Vegetables (Buy things in units, grams and kilos)
  • Commercial places
  • Paying by credit card
  • Clothing items (vocabulary)
  • Personal accessories. (Men and women)
  • Colors and Sizes

  • Duration: 90 mins

Tenth module



    ¿Qué hiciste el sábado a la noche?( What did you do Saturday night?)

  • How to talk about past events (Introduction to Preterit Tense)
  • How to talk about personal experiences. (Notions of Imperfect Tense)
  • How to tell a story between friends (Preterit and Imperfect)
  • Biographies of famous people.

After your payment is received, your status will be changed to “registered and paid”and your spot for the session will be secured. An invoice and receipt of payment will be sent to you for your records.

Bio: Rosana has been teaching latinamerican Spanish for the last 6 years. She has got a degree in Foreing Languages Methodology and others studies in ELE (Spanish as a Foreing Language). Rosana started working with internship students at universities in Bolivia and now, she is developing special survival programs for travelers in Patagonia, Argentina.
