Bio
Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your consideration of my application for the position. I am excited about the opportunity and would enjoy a personal meeting to explain the reasons for which I believe that I am an ideal candidate for joining the team.

I am an enthusiastic native Spanish speaker and hard-working individual, dedicated to the mission of delivering top-quality material in the Linguistics field. I would be honored if selected to join your team, having experienced the mission of working closely with education materials during my professional career. I currently work as a freelance Spanish language translator, editor, and project manager.

I have since earned a Bachelor’s Degree with distinction from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Further, I have a postgraduate translator’s diploma for the English, German, and Spanish languages. I am also a member of the American Translators Association. In 2005 I won the award “Editor of the Year” by The McGraw-Hill Companies for my performance as a development editor in their Science division of College Material. As a U.S. Permanent Resident, I have also worked as an editor for the educational field in the Mazer Corporation in Orlando, Florida. As an editor for the World Languages division, I had to adapt the English content for audiences in all the Spanish speaking countries. I have also worked for several textbook publishers in the creation of the content for the textbooks and their ancillaries (websites, tests, audio, etc.) I have worked mainly in the textbook industry for the bilingual editions of the grades K to 6th. I am confident that I would quickly prove to be great addition and an asset to your team. Thank you for your consideration of my resume and application. I look forward to your reply and will be available at your convenience if I can answer any questions to assist in your decision.

Thank You

Diana Jarrett
