Source text - English This time on Healthy Body Healthy Mind. For years, the main weapons in the war on lung cancer have been surgery… radiation… and chemotherapy… Each has its benefits – and limitations.
If we look at all patients who have early stage lung cancer, about a third will not be candidates for surgery because they have bad lungs, bad hearts, they are very old and frail. Some of them may not even be candidates for radiation therapy because of their underlying lung disease.
But now, can a high-tech heat treatment give new hope to patients who may not be good candidates for conventional techniques?
The idea here is to provide another…treatment for a very difficult disease…and to offer them hope.

Un tiers des patients au premier stade du cancer du poumon ne peuvent pas avoir recours a la chirurgie pour des problèmes de poumons, de cœur, ou parce qu’ils sont trop âgés et fragiles. D’autres ont des problèmes potentiels de poumons, qui rendent même impossible la radiothérapie.
Mais y aurait-il enfin un traitement qui puisse redonner espoir à ceux qui ne peuvent pas être la cible des techniques traditionnelles?
L’idée c’est de fournir un autre traitement contre une maladie très difficile… et redonner l’espoir
