Hello,

My name is Biliana and I am the founder of Four Language Services - your Insurance translations partner.

I am a full-time translator and interpreter, an associate member of the Institute of Translating and Interpreting (ITI) and an active contributor to the Legal, Insurance and Financial Translators network. I abide by the ITI Code of Professional Conduct and carry Professional Indemnity Insurance.

I grew up relocating from one country to another thanks to flourishing diplomatic relations between East and West. As a result I am a keen and perceptive linguist, with a highly tuned linguistic "ear", an exceptional command of languages and a passion for communication.

In 1994, I achieved the title of Certified Linguist from the “Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB)”, Belgium, with Distinction. I read English, Spanish and Russian languages and linguistics and completed a thesis consisting of an annotated translation of a contemporary Bulgarian play. I moved to London in 1994 and became a certified English teacher to speakers of other languages before building a successful career as a Lloyd’s broker. When I was not busy negotiating terms of insurance, I was translating, interpreting or traveling the world.

In 2008 I set up Four Translation Services as a tribute to the 4 languages that have accompanied me all my life: Bulgarian, English, Spanish and French. I work predominantly into English or Bulgarian, the 2 languages in which I am perfectly bilingual. Four is not a translation agency that allocates its work to freelance translators. I take pride in creating my own finished product and I wish to take full credit for it!
