Ver�nica Albin is a freelance medical translator and Lecturer in Spanish at the Center for the Study of Languages at Rice University in Houston, Texas, where she teaches advanced translation, cross-cultural communication, and medical Spanish. She joined ATA in 1982 and is accredited in English ↔ Spanish. In 1991 she was invited to join ATA's English → Spanish grading team, and has since served as language chair, co-chair, and deputy chair.
