After 6 p.m Mar 23, 2017

I like to start early in the morning (started at 7 a.m. this morning) when my mind is fresh but I am certainly more productive by mid-afternoon. I am a slow starter and a late owl, the most productive time for me in general is mid-afternoon/evening, but it really depends on a lot of factors: quality of my sleep the night before, job deadline, complexity of the document, familiarity with the subject matter, number of interruptions…

Lately there have been too many interruptions during the day, though I still manage to get my hours in.

It doesn't help that most of my friends and neighbors are retired and have stopped working. I have told them not to call me during the day, or just send me an e-mail that I can answer on my own schedule, but they consistently ignore my request.

I can be very productive in the morning, in the evening after sundown, or later at night. The problem for me is the interruptions; phone calls and e-mail queries requiring responses tend to be more of a morning thing, which can reduce your output, no matter how bright-eyed and bushy tailed you may have arisen from your slumber. By the end of this week, I will also have three of my mornings split by accompanying my landlord to the local clinic to translate while he's having his post-operative staples removed and explaining the subsequent treatments. Work-related things like administration, visits to the tax office or accountants, vehicle maintenance... and other things... also tend to be morning activities, thieves of time that might be better dedicated to work.

Stopping off here isn't helping either, so I'd better get cracking...

Actually I've been waiting and waiting for it to come around again.

Since last time, see, I've been conducting detailed scientific experiments and concluded that I'm most productive at precisely 4.26 a.m.

Except on Tuesdays.

We still haven't got the "Like" button here, have we?!

Me? After 2pm. Give me my mornings to drink a cup of coffee and surf the net doing nothing!
