Source text - English Materials for steel anode cores
Anode cores shall be made of structural welding steel plates/sections, in accordance with the standards EN 10025 [4] Grade S275J0, or equivalent approved by the Client.
It is not possible to use unkilled steel.
The material for the anode cores will have to be supplied with certifications testifying the conformity with the requirements of this specification, and every anode supplied shall be complied with what is reported in those certificates.
Anodes anode cores will have to be subject to manufacturing restrictions, hardness, and mechanic resistance. The steel will have to be resistant to Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) due to H2S and to hydrogen brittling caused by operations in acid environments, in accordance with the standard ISO 15156 [13].
The steel used to manufacture the anode cores will have the following limits in the chemical composition:
- S 0.003 %
- P 0.015 %
The quantity of carbon contained in the material of the anode cores shall not outweigh the value 0.41%.
The carbon percentage shall be calculated with the following formula:
At the end of the assembly, the Manufacturer shall verify that the dimensions of the anode cores can support the maximum allowable load of 420 MPa.
Maximum hardness shall be 248 HV10.
Anode cores shall be dry-sandblasted until the reaching of the cleaning degree Sa 2 ½, according to the standard ISO 8501-1 [12], and they shall be galvanized according to the Standard ISO 1461 [10].
Before proceeding with the anode fusion a visual check of all the anode cores shall be carried out.
The edges of anodes and the metallic parts of the anode cores touching the pipe surface shall be smooth to avoid causing damages to the coating.
The exposed parts of the anode cores shall not be painted.
The manufacturing and welding procedures shall be qualified, in order to fully comply with the standard ISO 15156 [13]. They shall include hardness tests of the sectioned welds. Welding and welders qualification procedures shall be in accordance with the standards EN 287 [2] and EN 288 [3].

in nobilitato melaminico.
• resistenza all’abrasione (UNI9115/87): tinte unite livello 5, essenze livello 3
• resistenza alla luce (UNI9427/87): livello 5
• resistenza al calore dei bordi (UNI9242): livello 5
• resistenza all’acqua (UNI 10460): livello 5, bordi in laminato, bordati con colle poliuretaniche.
