Source text - Spanish Let’s start here with considering that playing is a waste of time. In our world we need practical knowledge in order to survive. Therefore it’s not just play that is a waste, it’s also the acquisition of any useless information that lacks possibility of application. This acquisition is nothing more than an extension of playing: an infantile activity designed for adults. The child in Kindergarten could already be engaged in something useful, manual abilities that eventually will permit functioning in the market environment. There is no need to wait until first grade to learn how to read and write, many families encourage their children much earlier, and the sooner that is done, the earlier the child may focus on useful knowledge.
Translation - English Comencemos por considerar que jugar es una pérdida de tiempo. En nuestro mundo necesitamos del conocimiento práctico para sobrevivir. Por lo tanto, no sólo el juego es una pérdida, sino la adquisición de cualquier tipo de información inútil que no tenga posibilidad de aplicación. Esta adquisición no es sino una extensión del juego: una actividad infantil diseñada para adultos. Sería posible introducir al niño que va al preescolar a algún tipo de actividad o habilidad manual que eventualmente le permita funcionar en un entorno de mercado. No necesitamos esperar hasta el primer grado para aprender a leer y escribir; muchas familias alientan a sus hijos más temprano, y cuanto antes lo hagan, antes podrá el niño enfocarse en el conocimiento útil.
