Polish term or phrase: KU Nr
In records of the "Krasne" Battalion of the KOP (Border Protection Corps), dating from 1935, a series of leaves are granted, which are always associated with a "KU Nr." The only explanation of this abbreviation I can think of is "Komenda Uzupełnień," which I believe is roughly equivalent to "draft board." However, it doesn't seem logical to me that the draft board would be involved in granting leaves. Or is this number the particular soldier's "draft number"? Any suggestions would be helpful!
