Italian term or phrase: club di incontri
I am translating an interview, and at one point the interviewee discusses an illegal business he set up where he would bring foreign women to Italy to set up "club di incontri." I'm pretty sure it involved prostitution. I really can't think of a way to say this in English. Perhaps something involving "meet up?"

private dating club / Matchmaking club
Explanation:
This is not a literal translation, but might be the same idea. Using "private" before the phrase might suggest a bit more of the sleaziness involved.

I don't think that it is actually the phrase itself that needs to contain explicit reference to prostitution, if this is what is being implied. It is the surrounding text that will confirm that.

With reference to Tony Shargool's comment on "Escort Agency", I intentionally avoided any reference to "escorting" "hostessing" etc because the actual phrase does not say that. I think the idea is being implied in the context and it would be wrong to express something explicitly, when the reference is definitely implicit.

dating agency

Explanation:
Just wondering whether this could simply mean "dating agency", either innocently or as a "euphemism".

Or as a "cover", for that matter.

agree  Tony Shargool: Yes, even without the 'private' - Possibly' Escort Agency' would be even more explicit.
