I am a graduate of the Translation Programme at McGill university in Montreal.
I have been translating for over 25 years, and full-time for the past two as a freelancer.
I worked for many years in the steel business; in metallurgy, sales and purchasing.
As a customer service metallurgist I became well acquainted with the fabrication of steel as well as the processing of the steel itself.
I was exposed to many manufacturing industries (automotive, construction, chemical, pulp and paper etc.) during my years in the steel business.
I am also well versed in the terminology and technology relating to non-ferrous metals, and to methods of mining, extraction of metals etc.
I wrote a column for a Canadian magazine (Steel Marketplace) for 10 years, mostly about steel. (www.steelmarketplace.com).
I have recently translated work on nickel mining, construction standards, nuclear engineering, business practices and marketing.
I am courteous and reliable.
